How Is Managing Top Talent Different?

Given the highly competitive nature of the current market, keeping top talent is a more critical challenge than ever.  A recent Harvard Business Review article tries to provide a roadmap with The 3 Simple Rules of Managing Top Talent.  The list includes rules which should come as no surprise:

  • Treat people as individuals
  • Provide opportunity
  • Praise good work

While everyone deserves to be treated as an individual and provided opportunities for growth, in some cases extra effort and resources are clearly warranted.
